It has been a crazy couple of months and it is time for most of us to make a shift in what we are doing. For me I decided to start blogging. It was something I was thinking about for years, but I am not a good writer.
My name is Holly Bickerstaffe and I am a recently Certified Health and Life Coach. It all started back in 2006, I became a licensed Massage Therapist, and that was it I was in the wellness industry. There was no turning back, I am hooked. I went on to get my Associates Degree in Human Services with a minor in Psychology. Then a Bachelors in Holistic Psychology. Over the years I have learned and grew from some amazing people.
I own and run Tranquility Wellness Center, Inc. A place where different complimentary modalities come together under one roof. It has grown since I started it in 2013 as Chelmsford Wellness Center, LLC. Doing Massage Therapy and running my own Center is amazing, fulfilling and tiring. Massage Therapy is a gift, but sometimes it’s not enough people need more. I was not sure what that more was until now. I am tired of over working myself to help others. I was on the verge of burnout if I kept going.
This pandemic was almost like a savior for me. But adding Coaching to my Massage Therapy was it, or was it? I realize I can Coach anyone anywhere, so how was I supposed to add Massage into that. So, I became a Self-Care Coach, and it all added up. For people who lived local I can add in Massage, and offer Coaching to my current Massage clients.
People need to know about Self-Care and how important it is and what it is. I knew how important it is, but realized a lot of people don’t know. They are on the verge of burnout like I was. Even as a Massage Therapist I knew about Self-Care and how important it is. I still let myself get to the verge of burnout. I can only imagine people that don’t know, how are they doing?
My purpose for starting this blog consists of two reasons. I want to share with you the importance of Self-Care, what it is all about, and ways you can see the person you want to become. To share with you my stories and stories of others (as long as I am allowed to) of obstacles we have over come. So others who can relate, know they are not the only one.
My second is that I am not the best at writing things. So what do you do if you are not good at something? You jump right in. The best way to learn something is to do it and make mistakes. As long as you are not going to injure yourself. I do realize there are things that you have to learn first before jumping right in.

Self-Care is a huge topic, but it is what I love talking about, besides my dogs which you will meet later on! There are many Spheres to Self-Care, here are a few I will write about:
